NOTICE OF ELECTION
TOWN OF WINNIPEG BEACH
Notice is hereby given that the voters of the Town of Winnipeg Beach
Will be taken to elect MAYOR AND FOUR (4) COUNCILLORS from the following duly nominated candidates:

VOTING PLACES
Voting places will be open for voting on FRIDAY the 23RD day of JULY, 2010 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at:
POLL NO. 1 (A-F) Legion Hall, 20 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg Beach
POLL NO. 2 (G-L) Legion Hall, 20 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg Beach
POLL NO. 3 (M-R) Legion Hall, 20 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg Beach
POLL NO. 4 (S-Z) Legion Hall, 20 Hamilton Ave., Winnipeg Beach
IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE. A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.
ADVANCE VOTING
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at Council Chambers, Town of Winnipeg Beach, 29 Robinson Ave, Winnipeg Beach on the following days:
Saturday, July 10, 2010 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 17, 2010 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE
A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax to the senior election official at the Town of Winnipeg Beach office, 29 Robinson Ave, Winnipeg Beach, R0C 3G0 , fax number 204-389-2019
If applying in person*, a voter may apply between June 25, 2010 and July 20, 2010.
* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.
If applying by mail or fax**, a voter may apply between April 24, 2010 and July 20, 2010
** A voter applying by mail or fax will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the Senior Election Official.
