  1. How much does it cost for a tax certificate?
    The cost for a tax certificate is $35 
     
  2. I want to put an access/driveway on to my property, what do I need to do?
    You are required to apply to the town office for a permit to install a new access or driveway. An application fee of $50 is applied toward the site inspection prior to and after installation.

    If approved, the Town can perform this service at a set rate, or if you prefer, you may hire a contractor to do this work for you providing the Contractor holds a valid Town Business Licence.

  3. Where do I find out information on zoning and building permits?
    Written information can be obtained at the Town Office.
      
  4. When are taxes due?
    Taxes are due the last business day in August.
      
  5. Do you accept post dated cheques?
    Yes we accept post dated cheques.
      
  6. Do you send out monthly tax statements?
    No, the tax bills are printed by Intergovernmental Affairs and will be mailed out once a year.
      
  7. I mailed in my tax payment at the end of August. I just received my paid receipt and it shows that there is a balance owing. Why?
    Payment was likely received after the last business day in August. Payment MUST be received by the last business day in August to prevent late payment charges.

    A penalty is automaticall applied on the first business day of the month.
      
  8. When are tax penalties charged?
    Taxes are at par until the last business day in August. A penalty will be charged on arrears at 1.25% beginning September 1st.
      
  9. Do I need a licence for my dog?
    Yes, a dog licence is required for every dog over the age of 3 months residing in the Town of Winnipeg Beach.

    All dogs are required to have a valid vacination certificate. The cost of the licence is $10/yr of the dog has been spayed or neutered, and $30/yr if not.
      
  10. How to I get my name on a boardwalk plank?
    You can purchase a boardwalk plank at the town office for $40. A form can be obtained from the town office or by clicking here to download one from our website.
      
  11. How can I find out what is happening on the Bandstand every weekend?
    You can register with our website by clicking here and we will be sure to send you regular updates about events and activities.
