Flooding Update - June 11, 2026
The Town's sewer system continues to improve as floodwaters recede.
One of the lift station pumps has been returned to service, while repairs continue on the second pump. As a result, the sewer system is now handling flows adequately, and all emergency pump trucks have been demobilized.
Residents may leave their sewer pumps operating to help maintain proper back pressure within the sewer system.
The Town continues to encourage property owners to disconnect sump pumps from the sanitary sewer system wherever possible. Reducing groundwater entering the system helps protect sewer infrastructure and lowers the risk of backups.
The Town's lagoon has taken on a significant volume of water and is currently operating at the higher end of its normal operating range; however, levels remain acceptable at this time. Staff will continue to closely monitor the situation.
Town staff will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
